At The Writer’s Clinic, we think good writing means good storytelling.
Why? Because stories are by far the most effective way to grab peoples’ attention, whether the subject is cancer research or college curricula.
At The Writer’s Clinic, our focus isn’t on commas or apostrophes.
It’s on
- How to define your audience
- How to use devices like metaphors and unexpected comparisons to bring writing to life
- and how to move people to action
The Writer’s Clinic offers two major services:
- Writing: When you need an ace writer to handle a project for you, we’ll handle it from start to finish — on budget and on time. That includes articles, blogs, executive speeches (a sweet spot) and more. We work by project or on retainer.
- Coaching: When you want to handle a complex writing project yourself but want an editor or collaborator, we’ll work with you on every aspect of it, from start to finish, to make sure your message is clear and memorable.
In addition, we have a blog that’s short, punchy, useful and free. You can subscribe in the sidebar to your right, by email or RSS.
Finally, when you become a Writer’s Clinic client you’ll get continuing support for as long as you need it – support that’s as close as the phone or email.
It’s easy to reach us. Email me and let’s talk.
It’s laughably easy to find someone to critique a sentence, to find a missing apostrophe or worry about your noun-verb agreement. Sometimes, you’re lucky enough to find someone who can tell you that a paragraph is dull, or out of place.
But finding people to rearrange the chapters, to criticize the very arc of what you’re building, to give you substantive feedback on your strategy–that’s insanely valuable and rare.
